Creator displays a US$11 first-month promotion; US$22 is the recurring monthly figure. Credits are shared across products and model choice affects consumption. The page also offers annual billing; confirm its total commitment at checkout rather than treating a monthly equivalent as a monthly contract.
API rates are a separate calculation
ElevenAPI’s page describes API billing in US dollars rather than creator credits. Its displayed TTS rates are US$0.10 per 1,000 characters for v3 and v2 Multilingual, and US$0.05 for v3 Conversational and Flash/Turbo. It offers subscription and pay-as-you-go options. Keep the model, payment option and included usage on your quote. Do not apply the creator credit table to an API workload or treat the public unit rate as the complete amount your account will pay.
A budgeting example you can reproduce
For a fictional workload of 20,000 billed characters at US$0.10 per 1,000 characters, the usage calculation is US$2. That is arithmetic using a displayed rate, not a bill we incurred. Included usage, commitments, tax and other products can change the invoice.
The duration and acceptability of that output remain unknown until tested. Record all generated takes and editing time before dividing cost by usable minutes. Our voiceover cost calculator accepts your own measured conversion and quote; it does not automatically select a vendor plan.
What to verify before choosing a plan
Write down the model, required export format, commercial-use conditions, renewal price, billing period and any minimum payment. Check whether failed or repeated generations consume usage and whether your other projects share the allowance. Record the answer to each question with a dated quote.
Do not upgrade solely because the headline allowance is larger. First identify the requirement your present plan cannot meet: rights, output format, model access, a workload limit or a specific control. If that requirement is still uncertain, the decision checklist helps organise the missing evidence.
Does paying settle commercial-use rights?
No. ElevenLabs’ publication guidance distinguishes output generated during paid subscriptions from free output and excludes Beta Services from commercial use. Voice and content rights still matter.
