Six checks before committing

Write down the finished length, languages, audience, delivery date and whether this is one project or continuing work.

Check the exact model, required export format, editing controls and whether you need the web editor or an API.

Confirm the plan terms, voice permission and intended distribution. Keep unresolved commercial-use questions open.

Record currency, billing period, recurring price, tax, included units, overages and cancellation terms.

Include rejected takes and editing time. Keep the same finished workload when comparing two quotes.

Use your own permitted script and retain the first take, corrections and failures. A vendor demo cannot answer every question about your production.

Start with the work you are doing

  • Narrated videos

    Prioritise a complete script, pronunciation corrections and the cost of your regular release schedule.

  • Long-form narration

    Check consistency across a chapter, revision effort and the intended distributor's requirements.

  • Character dialogue

    Check whether a voice stays recognisable when direction and intensity change.

  • An application or API

    Define latency, concurrency, error handling, billed input units and required output format.

If a check is still open

Find the smallest next step that resolves it. A missing plan fact needs a source or vendor answer. An unknown voice result needs an audition. An unclear permission needs clarification. Checking every box records your assessment; it does not certify a vendor or replace the evidence behind a review.

Keep two questions separate
